Credit for the idea behind The Cat Painter goes to Becky's younger sister Steph, who as a young girl, used to say that the spots and patches on their pet dogs and cats were all because "pinaglaruan sila ng anghel."  Becky has six cats fo various colors — Sammy, Army, Taxi, Rosie, Pep, and Kamikaze.  She is a member of KUTING (Kuwentista ng mga Tsikiting).
