Carleen was an Instructor for the Special Education Area at the University of the Philippines College of Education up until 2005.  She is currently an international graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the Teaching English as a Second Language program.  She is also a Teaching Assistant at the Intensive English Institute where she has lots of fun teaching other international students.  

Carleen is addicted to libraries, graphic novels and peanut butter cups. She has decided that winter is too cold and would like to move back to the fantastic tropical country that is the Philippines as soon as possible.   She hopes to return to more teaching and tapsilog.
