Felice Prudente Sta. Maria enjoys discovering the connections between stories: how a person's stories connec to thse of relatives and friends or to stories of places, weather, rocks, plants, animals, and planets.  Her first books for children, Ang Panganay, published by Adarna House, won the Ceres Alabado Award for Outstanding Literature for Children in 1998.  She chairs the Social and Human Sciences Committee for UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines.
