Charles Funk was the first designer/artist tasked with the development of the Aklat Adarna identity & product prototypes. He was in charge of cover design for most of the first 300 titles, took creative materials through all stages of production to print-ready status, and supervised final print run. He also authored and illustrated several titles for Aklat Adarna.
While creating mostly for print publishing, he has also designed, developed and implemented new techniques applied to industrial exhibitions for American, French and German clients.
Charles migrated to the US. in 1984, did freelance work, managed a type house, produced concerts, and designed books and numerous publications, participated in painting exhibitions with local artist's groups & causes. He worked for the Los Angeles Times, a daily newspaper, as a graphic designer & the creative services department's technical coordinator.
