    • Storytelling

    A workshop on the art of narration, it focuses on the tools a storyteller can use, and how these tools can be maximized to the storyteller’s advantage.  It gives tips on choosing stories, preparing for storytelling sessions, and developing different ways to tell a story. 

    • Teaching Beginning Reading

    This workshop tackles the Four-Pronged Approach, a literature-based method of teaching beginning reading. Each of the four prongs are discussed, accompanied by extensive modules, then applied by the participants through interesting and practical activities.

    • Creating Teaching Aids

    The newest addition to our list of workshop offerings, this is a course for early education and day care teachers.  It teaches the participants how to create safe, age-appropriate, and interactive teaching aids made from indigenous and recyclable materials. 

    • Library Improvement Series

    This workshop for librarians and reading center staff shows participants how to encourage the children in their school or community to discover the joys of reading. It covers topics such as choosing books, distinguishing reading levels, and developing library activities.

    • Science Classroom Series

    Participants in this workshop find out about fun and practical activities to make their science classes more interactive and interesting.  Participants will be shown examples of safe and simple science experiments, ideas for inexpensive and entertaining field trips, and ways to encourage students to care for the environment.

    • Faith in Literature

    Made for teachers of the Christian Living or Values Education subjects, this workshop focuses on how to use literature and other arts in the classroom.  It includes an intensive storytelling workshop and a background course on creative catechism.

    • School Readiness

    Recommended for parents with children who are just about to go to school, this workshop shares ways on how parents can teach kids preliminary preschool concepts at home.  It discusses the prerequisites for learning to read.
