Book bundle for AMOR Village
For PHP150, you can help the kids of AMOR Village by donating a book bundle (2 storybooks worth PHP198) this #40thNBPRWeek. Donors will also be able to attend a free storytelling session and art activity organized by Adarna House at Eastwood City Walk on July 22, 2018 (Sunday).
The National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week is celebrated every third week of July, under Proclamation No. 361. The observance culminates on July 23, birthday of Apolinario Mabini, the statesman and “Brains of the Philippine Revolution."In celebration of NPDR Week, Adarna Group Foundation invites everyone to participate in Bagong Libro, Bagong Pag-asa: A Fundraising Event for the Children of AMOR Village.
Sponsored by Adarna Group Foundation, Adarna House, The Raya School, and Megaworld, the whole day affair from 10 AM to 7 PM will feature not only storytelling sessions and arts and crafts activities but also an art exhibit, a book fair, and book signing.
The exhibit will feature works by the residents of AMOR Village, a 24-hour residential care, rehabilitation, recovery, and development facility that houses mentally-challenged children who were abused, abandoned, and neglected. This facility in San Francisco, Anao, Tarlac is the sole government institution in Region III that provides a home for abandoned children with special needs.
