Adarna House, the Philippines' pioneering children's book publisher, today announced Readgalo: The Gift of Reading, a book donation campaign launched in partnership with Angat Buhay, the nonprofit organization founded by former Vice President Leni Robredo. The campaign runs from September 1, 2026 until December 31, 2026, inviting Filipino readers to turn their book purchases into gifts for children and communities nationwide.
The drive reflects both organizations' shared commitment to expanding Filipino children's access to books and literacy. Adarna House has spent over four decades producing children's literature rooted in Filipino culture and identity, while Angat Buhay has spent years mobilizing volunteers and resources for community programs in education, health, disaster response, and livelihood across the country.
