WASTONG PAGTATANGHAL NG WATAWAT NG PILIPINAS

Kapag nasa tagdan (flagpole) ang watawat, nasa ibabaw ang kulay asul na bahagi sa panahon ng kapayapaan at kulay pula naman sa panahon ng digmaan. 

Kapag nakasabit nang patayo, laging nasa ibabaw ang araw at mga bituin. Nasa kaliwa ang asul sa panahon ng kapayapaan, ngunit nasa kanan naman sa panahon ng digmaan.

WASTONG PAGTUPI SA WATAWAT NG PILIPINAS 

1. Hahawakan ng dalawang tao ang watawat sa magkabilang dulo. Tiyaking nasa kaliwang kamay ng taong nasa unahan ng watawat (malapit sa araw at mga bituin) ang bahaging kulay asul.
2. Itupi nang pahalang ang watawat katulad ng nasa larawan.
3. Muling itupi ang watawat nang pahalang. Kailangang maitago ang pulang bahagi nito.
4. Itupi nang pahilis ang bughaw na bahagi. Kailangang magmukhang maliit na tatsulok ang tupi. Ulitin ito nang ilang beses.
5. Sa huling tupi, siguruhing litaw ang isa sa mga bituin pati na ang asul na bahagi ng watawat.

PROPER DISPLAY OF THE PHILIPPINE FLAG

When the flag is flown on a flagpole, the blue field shall be on top during times of peace, while the red field shall be on top during times of war.

When the flag is displayed vertically, the sun and stars shall always appear at the top. The blue field shall be on the left during times of peace and on the right during times of war.

PROPER FOLDING OF THE PHILIPPINE FLAG

1. Two people should hold the flag at opposite ends. Ensure that the person at the front of the flag (nearest the sun and stars) holds the blue field with their left hand.
2. Fold the flag horizontally as shown in the illustration.
3. Fold the flag horizontally once more. The red field should no longer be visible.
4. Fold the blue field diagonally to form a small triangle. Repeat this step several times.
5. On the final fold, make sure that one of the stars and a portion of the blue field remain visible.
